Heli skiing has grown and grown over the years and grassroots companies have been bought up by large corporations. Heli skiing has become, in some ways, the corporate industry that many of the early skiing pioneers had run away from. Gold Rush Heli Skiing is different.

Going to the north is an experience in itself. The vastness and surreal landscape will have you gazing in wonder at the grand scenery and most experience an absolute sense of euphoria. The whole point of going to the gold rush wasn’t really getting gold, it was about going to the gold rush; adventure, exploration, possibility, and the wildness of it all. Our heli skiing is unmatched and nights under the aurora, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, ice fishing and snowmobiling are often people’s firsts.

With groups of four per A-Star, we typically get couples, a group of friends, solo travelers or anyone who can ski intermediate (blue) to advanced (black) runs at their local resort. We have the ability to accommodate most levels of skiers and boarders.

Historically, the number of women who participated in the gold rush wasn’t a large percentage. However, those who went, seemed to be so much bolder and unfettered and freer than the men. Not all the men were extraordinary back then but all the women certainly were. That said, the number of female heli skiers is certainly on the rise and will make up almost half of our guests.

In our opinion, small groups are the best way to heli ski. At Gold Rush, this means there will be 4 guests + 1 lead guide for each ski group. You fly together and you ski together while our guides arrange the program and terrain selection to better suit the snow conditions and abilities of your group. No pressure, just fun. We cater to a maximum of 8 guests each trip and our Private Programs offer up to 4 guests in their own group with their own designated helicopter.
